Dr Jo Bird is the reader for the interactive version of this book. Jo was born in Melbourne, but spent most of her childhood in Swan Hill in rural Victoria. Jo moved back to Melbourne to study and work. She worked for many years as an early childhood educator in a range of settings. Jo is a Senior Lecturer at UNE in the Early Childhood Education team. She researches in the field of technology in early childhood education.

Dr Marg Rogers is the audio reader for this story. Marg was born and grew up in a regional coastal town in NSW. She attended school there and later studied at universities in Queensland and NSW. Marg taught performing arts in NSW, Tasmania and the NT. Marg also worked in the welfare, non-government organisations sectors, before becoming a lecturer at UNE. Under a cultural exchange government scholarship, Marg studied a short cultural studies course at Gadjah Mada University in Jogjakarta, Indonesia to write music curricula. During this time she learnt a little bit of Bahasa Indonesian. You can learn to say 'good morning' and 'goodbye' by listening to Marg in the recordings below.

Dr Mitch Parkes is the video reader for this story. Mitch was born in Sydney where he attended school and university. He then went teaching in the western suburbs of Sydney and then to rural NSW to teach. Later, Mitch started lecturing in IT education before completing his PhD in this area. Mitch now helps academics with their online teaching. His father was a reservist when he was young. Mitch studied German in high school. You can learn ‘good day’ and ‘goodbye’ in German by listening to Mitch in the recordings below.

These templates are designed for parents/carers (or older siblings), educators or family workers to assist children in creating a personalised story that is an adapted version of the storybook in this module. To do this, you can:
- change the text as needed
- add photos
- add children's drawings,
- add decorations (e.g. collage materials (please avoid glitter for environmental reasons), including leaves, dried flowers, and feathers).
Read the finished storybook with your child(ren) often, then ask them to help you tell the story as you show relatives and friends (in person or via a video call). -
