• "If I could talk" About Service Parents Breaking Up: Hercules Story

    • We co-created a draft of a free, online, evidence-informed storybook and modules for parents, educators and support workers to better support children from service families whose parents separate or divorce.

We would love you to test-drive this resource for us so we can improve it based on your feedback.

      Things to note

      Illustrations

The draft illustrations are not finished. For example, you will notice the character's hands are drawn, but you may not be able to see the fingers. You might notice clothes, but not hems, zippers, buttons and seams. To save you some time, you don't need to mention that in your feedback.

      Spelling

Canadian spelling is used in this version. Once we update the book with the feedback we receive and finalise the illustrations, we will release both a Canadian and an Australia/UK version.

      Test driving with children

You can test drive this storybook by yourself and/or with children. It is always a good idea to read the story first to check its suitability for the child/ren you are supporting.

      Timelines

We hope to finalise the book by January 2027.
