‘The organisations who have helped us have been what has made Dad being ill worth it, as we always feel supported and know we have a safe space to go and an ask for assistance or even just have a chat about what has been happening at home’. Teenager from a defence family (Module 8).

These resources have been created using a strengths-based, resilience approach with children and families. The family is viewed through a socio-ecological lens, that is, the child is part of a complex system, including their own individual characteristics, family, friends, professionals, community, government, culture, society, media and global events.
