Post traumatic growth

Dagan and Yager (2019, p. 329) report that ‘encouraging and helping establish varieties of accepting, trusting and nurturing’ people in their lives and psychotherapy can help. Also, learning about post-traumatic growth ‘within therapy … can help patients’ who have ‘complex-PTSD address the underlying challenges and support post-traumatic growth’ (Dagan & Yager, 2019, p. 329).

Other supports for parents, educators, support workers, and clinicians are available in the Child and Family Resilience Programs modules.

The Phoenix Australia website has a lot of useful information on post-traumatic growth, including ways to support those with PTSD. It has targeted support for various age groups, and groups, such as military members, veterans and first responders.
